Why not upskill yourself or your staff to Level 3 (A Level/BTEC/T Level equivalent) with flexible courses from an award-winning local supplier?
The WMCA – West Midlands Combined Authority are a group of local authorities working together to make the West Midlands a better place to live. Made up of 17 local councils and 3 local enterprise partnerships, they work together to benefit everyone who lives and works in the region ~ including businesses, local councils and education leaders.
Thanks to the WMCA, South & City College Birmingham are pleased to be able to offer several fully-funded places on many of our courses for adults who live in the local area as part of the government-funded skills for life campaign, to help individuals find work in England following the Covid pandemic.
Please read the below criteria to find out if you are eligible to study one of our free adult courses:
Interested? See below the current courses we can offer as part of the free courses for adult’s programme. Many of our courses are available to start in September 2023, with more start dates to be added in the future.
Are you a business in, or a business with a branch in, the West Midlands? Looking to stay competitive in a skills-based economy?
Why not level up your work force with the help of the WMCA. With courses available in subject areas such as: business management, construction, IT and many more – there has never been a better time to upskill your team, and give them an extra qualification to improve the drive, skillset, and abilities.
As a college, we are proud to be working closely with the West Midlands Combined Authority who have control over the Adult Education Budget which funds training for anyone aged 19+. We are able to ask for flexibilities in this budget to fund training and qualifications that are not traditionally funded.
To be able to get flexibilities we need to evidence that as a result there will be a job opportunity, or it will allow learners to progress within work to a higher paid role/more hours etc. Examples of this include fully funded diplomas in adult care for the Health & Social Care, 50% funded NVQs in construction management, AAT level 3 and 4 diplomas for the unemployed, and more. If there is a demand, we can put together a business care to apply for flexibilities.
